Natalie & Scott | Kelowna Wedding at Caldwell Heritage Farm by Kelowna Wedding Photographer

Natalie & Scott at Caldwell Heritage Farm

I’ve said it a million times: Caldwell Heritage Farm has to be my favorite wedding venue in Kelowna, BC. As a Kelowna wedding photographer, I’m so grateful for beautiful venues. Particularly ones with trees and shade. For more detailed information about the venue its self, check out my Kelowna Wedding Venues page.

Beauties and Bacon

Normally when I first arrive to a bride’s location, I’m overwhelmed by the smell of hairspray. This time, however, it was maple-smoked bacon. Oh man, I was already holding a coffee, so this was a good start to what would become a great day.
I love it when I already know someone other than the bride, but this bridal party was full of familiar faces. All of them beautiful.

Their First Look

The park in West Kelowna was a perfect spot for Scott and Natalie’s first look. I scouted this location the day before, and found the perfect spot. Of course, as Murphy would have it, when I arrived on the wedding day, there was a family camping – with a tent and everything – on the very spot I wanted Scott to stand. This is my life, by the way. It’s why I carry a bunch of Twenty-dollar bills with me. I completely understand that it’s everyone’s park to enjoy, but I’m a perfectionist. The family was kind enough to relocate until we finished the first look, and I am thankful to them for that.

This place is magical. Natalie’s mom is so cute here, tearing up before the ceremony even begins. Though I’m sure seeing Natalie in her wedding dress was enough to bring on those tears.
Scott was escorted down the aisle by his mom and dad, and after he gave them each a hug, he went along the front row of guests and gave each of his relatives a handshake and a hug. His grandmother held on for a bit and even pulled him back to whisper something in his ear. Whatever she said to him, it made Scott laugh. I wish I knew what it was. Reception at The Harvest Golf Club

Again, one of my favourite spots for photographing weddings and receptions, is the Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna.
