Summerhill Winery Wedding

Carol and David came from Calgary to have their wedding ceremony at Summerhill Pyramid Winery, where one of Carol’s dreams came true; a beautiful photograph of her and her man, wearing a suit and gown, in a vineyard during sunset. Summerhill provided the perfect spot for everything. The ceremony on the garden terrace, a big willow tree for family photos, a reception venue with an organic menu and award-winning wines. And of course, a Southwest-facing vineyard – perfect for sunset photos.

Getting Ready

Carol started the day at Playa Del Sol Resort, which is right across the street from The Hotel Eldorado. David and the guys joined us at Playa Del Sol for a first-look, and then I took Carol and David to the Eldorado Hotel for a few formal photos. After that, it was off to Summerhill where these two love-birds celebrated with a sunny ceremony over-looking Okanagan Lake.
After a few more formal portraits, we all headed in for dinner, which was amazing! Fortunately the sun set after dinner, so we were all able to enjoy the awesome meal that the chef at Summerhill provided, without interruption, though I believe it wouldn’t have mattered to Carol if it did. I love sunset photos in a vineyard, and these two were perfect.
All in all in was a perfect day, and these two were super fun. Oh, and check out their engagement session in Banff. I loved the drive out there, and we had a lot of fun over the course of our two-day photo session. So much fun!
