I was tewlve hundred kilometres away when Jenna called me. Her photographer had cancelled on her four days before her wedding. I thought October would be a safe time to take a road trip down south, but it seems October in the Okanagan is an amazing month for an outdoor wedding. Jenna and her girls got ready downtown Kelowna at the Grand Hotel. I took them outside for bridal portraits before heading off to the Hotel Eldorado where I met up with Jon. He and his groomsmen were in the bar having a nerve-soother. I captured a few photos there and then we all made our way to Summerhill Pyramid Winery for the ceremony. The sun is in a great spot mid October if your ceremony is around 4:00 PM, and if there is a bit of cloud-cover, it’s just magic. I’m so glad I cut my trip short. I loved this wedding, and Jenna and Jon are beautiful people, I now call my friends.
