Kelowna Photographer Shoots First Official Maternity Session

I had the absolute privilege and honour of photographing Marlee as a bride on her wedding back in 2015. We became friends, so when I learned that she and her husband Trevor, were expecting their first baby, I thought I would ask if she would be willing to let me photograph her. As a wedding photographer, I had never really done a maternity photo session before, so this was a first for both of us.
When I arrived at Marlee’s home, the snow was crazy, and just a short walk from her front door I saw this amazing forest scene. It was impromptu, and the big snowflakes made focusing extremely difficult, but we couldn’t pass up this beautiful opportunity. You wouldn’t know she was eight months pregnant in the photo below, but keep scrolling, it becomes obvious soon enough.
